Mink Hill Timber Frame Homes considers it a privilege to be asked to build a Client’s home! We consider the process of designing and building a client’s home to be a special collaboration between the Client, Architect and Ourselves. All three parties, by necessity, should be deeply invested in the project and in the concept of quality, sustainability, energy efficiency and most of all in designing and building an inspiring and comforting home.
We have played varying roles in the custom houses that we have been fortunate to be part of:
- Often the clients come to us first. We work with many talented Architect’s and Architectural designers that believe in our philosophy and in the power of collaborative efforts.
- Sometimes the Client may have an Architect on board and we work with them hand and hand to design the timber frame in harmony with the Architectural design.
- Another scenario is that the Client is committed to be their own General Contractor and we usually play the role as Building Consultant, Timber Framer and Structural Insulated Panel Installer.
Mink Hill Timber Frame Homes prides itself in the honoring the traditional role of the Master Builder. We are a team of timber framers, carpenters and designers who have a passion for the built environment. We strive to improve and continue to learn every day.
